The Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB) is committed to nurturing postgraduate graduates who are competent, competitive, and ethical in the world of scientific research.
To achieve the set academic standards and fulfill the graduation requirements, all Master (Ms) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students are required to register and pass the following core courses throughout their duration of study.
These courses are specifically designed to strengthen students' skills in research methodology, academic writing, and the systematic presentation of research findings:
Research Method — BBS 5901
Scientific Writing — BBS 5905
Seminar Proposal — SPS 5999 (Master) / SPS 6999 (PhD)
Seminar Final — BBS 5903 (Master) / BBS 6904 (PhD)
Additional Requirement for International Students
In addition to the four (4) compulsory courses mentioned above, all international students are also required to register for and pass the LPM2100 – Komunikasi Bahasa Melayu / Malay Language Communication course during their period of study as a graduation requirement, unless an official exemption has been granted by the university.
