INTRODUCTION
The Department of Bioprocess Technology takes great pride in leading the way in Malaysia by introducing the first-ever Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with Honours programme. Our primary goal is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of biotechnology, with specific focus on bioprocess technology for the production of biotechnological products and services. The curriculum is desiged to cover a wide array of fields, including biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, food biotechnology, plant biotechnology and molecular biology.
The program spans eight semesters (four years) with a minimum of 128 credits required for graduation. It utilizes Student-Centered Learning (SCL) methods, blending theory and practical experience through lectures, tutorials, seminars, industrial training, study visits, case studies, fieldwork, and research projects.
