On 18-21 August, research from Department of Cell and Molecular Biology has won the best poster categories, in the ASEAN Federation of Biotechnology-Malaysia Chapter International Symposium 2018 (AFOBMCIS 2018), which was held at Pullman Hotels and Resorts, Kuching, Sarawak. Dr. Lai Kok Song presented his research entitled “Identification and characterization of vacuolar processing enzyme (VPE) gene family and its response to Fusarium oxysporum in banana”. Dr. Mas Jaffri Masaruddin presented his research on “Fluorescently-labelled and hydrophobically-modified chitosan nanoparticles as a delivery system for increased accumulation and therapeutic delivery of chlorogenic acid”, through his postgraduate student, Ruqayyah Ainum Bashirah. Congratulations!
