1. What is this programme about?

It’s a one-year coursework-based Master’s programme that combines life science expertise with business and entrepreneurship knowledge, preparing graduates for the biotechnology and bio-based industry.

2. What is the duration of the programme?

The programme runs for 1 year (3 trimesters).

3. What is the medium of instruction?

The programme is taught in English.

4. How many credits are required to graduate?

Students must complete a minimum of 40 credits:

• 31 credits from core courses
• 9 credits from elective courses

5. Is the programme fully online?

No, it is partly online. Classes are conducted online after office hours, with face-to-face practical sessions on weekends.

6. What are the entry requirements?

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent.
• CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in a relevant field.
• CGPA below 2.50 with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the field.
• International applicants must meet English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, MUET or CEFR).

7. What are the tuition fees?

Malaysian Students:

• Total Fee: RM 17,600.00

International Students:

• Total Fee: RM 31,700.00 (~USD 7,500)

8. When is the intake?

The intake is in July every year.

• 30 April for Malaysian Students
