Event Summary
The Asian Federation of Biotechnology Malaysia Chapter International Symposium 2019 (AFOBMCIS 2019) is one of the events organised by Asian Federation of Biotechnology Malaysia Chapter (AFOB-MC). This year, this reputable event will be held at The Everly Putrajaya, Malaysia, led by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and help by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Teknologi Mara Sarawak (UiTM).
The AFOBMCIS 2019 aims to provide a platform for local and international scientists, academia and industries to present current research findings, sharing ideas and opinions in various biotechnological fields. The theme of the symposium is “Biotechnology for Sustainability and Social Well Beingâ€, which covers 12 technical sessions:
Agricultural and Food Biotechnology
Applied Microbiology
Biopharmaceutical and Medical Biotechnology
Biocatalysis and Protein Engineering
Bioprocess and Bioseparation Engineering
Bioenergy and Biorefinery
Environmental Biotechnology
Marine Biotechnology
Nanobiotechnology, Biosensors and Biochips
Systems and Synthetic Biotechnology
Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials
Bioindustry Promotion and Bioeducation
A special session for young researchers will also be organized with special award to be presented.
Besides, the symposium will invite prestigious speakers in biotechnology field worldwide to share their knowledge and expertise and allow networking among the participants.
As record, the AFOB-MC had organized the AFOB Regional Symposium 2014 (ARS2014) in Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Asian Congress on Biotechnology 2015 (ACB2015) in Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur and AFOBMCIS 2018 in Pullman Kuching, Sarawak.
