Over a Thousand Students Explored FBSB Exhibition Booth for Asasi Education Fair 2019

UPM, SERDANG February 27, 2019 -  Over a thousand students from Asasi program at UPM, secondary schools at Klang Valley, matriculation and nursing colleges visited the booth of Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB) in conjunction with the annual event 'Education Foundation Fair'  held at the Cultural Center and Kesenian Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

30 academic and administrative staff, as well as students pursuing the First Degree at FBSB have worked together to give holistic information on undergraduate programmes offer by the Department of Biochemistry, Department of Bioprocess Technology, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, and  Department of Microbiology respectively to all visitors. All visitors also have the great opportunity to attend a special briefing session given by Dr. Mohd Badrin Hanizam bin Abdul Rahim on the programs offered and research inventions achieved by the faculty. During the exhibition, visitors has embraced the excellent opportunity to ask questions directly to the academic staff from each department and experience sharing sessions given by the undergraduate students of FBSB. The most frequently ask question of visitors was the future career potential if they follow the undergraduate programmes of FBSB.

The FBSB exhibition booth has won the second best booth in the contest of the best booth category for 2019. FBSB has given the 2^nd best booth award for 3 consecutive years since 2017.
